Agian, ausardia edo lotsagabekeria da Klarinete Zaharra eskola-orduen artean egindako bilera azkar baten ondorio dela esatea. Baina inoiz esan dugun egiarik zintzoena da. Ideia sortu zen, ilusioa, eta nola ez, bi irakasle ameslarien proposamenen aurrean irribarre egiten duen gazte-talde baten iniziatiba ere bai. Horrela jaio da gure liburua, horrela jaio da Emilioren istorioa.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the 19th International Conference on Passive and Active Measurement, PAM 2018, held in Berlin, Germany, in March 2018. The 20 full papers presented in this volume were carefully reviewed and selected from 50 submissions. They are organized in the following topical sections: models and inference; security and privacy; CDNs; DNS; certificates; interdomain routing; and analyzing protocols.
Global warming and globalization are the buzzwords of our time. They have nearly reached a religious status and those who deny their existence are considered modern heretics. Nevertheless, the earth has become an overcrowded village, traversable within a single day. Thus it is hardly surprising that besides persons and goods also agents of disease are easily transported daily from one end of the world to the other, threatening the health and lives of billions of humans and their animals. Agents of diseases (prions, viruses, bacteria, fungi and parasites) are not only transmitted by body contact or direct exchange of bodily fluids, but also by means of vectors which belong to the groups of li...
The explosive growth of the Internet has fundamentally changed the global society. The emergence of concepts like SOA, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, NaaS, and Cloud Computing in general has catalyzed the migration from the information-oriented Internet into an Internet of Services (IoS). This has opened up virtually unbounded possibilities for the creation of new and innovative services that facilitate business processes and improve the quality of life. However, this also calls for new approaches to ensuring quality and reliability of these services. The objective of this book is, by applying a systematic approach, to assess the state-of-the-art and consolidate the main research results achieved in this area. It was prepared as a Final Publication of the COST Action IC1304 “Autonomous Control for a Reliable Internet of Services (ACROSS)”. The book contains 14 chapters and is a show-case of the main outcomes of the Action in line with its scientific goals. The book can serve as a valuable reference for undergraduate students, post-graduate students, educators, faculty members, researchers, engineers, and research strategists, working in this field.
